Mrs. Zeopha Phillips, 77 of Widener, Arkansas died on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at her home in Widener, Arkansas. Born Tuesday, October 12, 1937 in Dumas, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Green Verser and the late Mrs. Maggie Parks Verser. She was the wife of the late Mr. Tommy Phillips. Surviving are sons, Mr. James Phillips of Brinkley, AR and Mr. Jeremiah Phillips of Palestine, AR, daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Knowlton of Madison, AR and Mrs. Annette Burgess of Widener, AR, brother, Mr. Nathaniel Verser of Forrest City, AR, sister, Mrs. Annie B Thomas; 12 grand children; 16 great grand children and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by son, Mr. Tommy Phillips, Jr., brothers, Mr. Robert Lee Verser, Mr. Morris Verser and Mr. Johnnie B Verser, sisters, Mrs. Urlee Coleman and Mrs. Mary Lee Gaston. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Feb. 19 at Cornerstone M B Church. Interment will be in Forrest City Cemetery, Forrest City, AR. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Clay Funeral Home, 2522 East Broadway, Forrest City, Arkansas.
