Mrs. Earnestine Sims, 83 of Forrest City, Arkansas died on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Saturday, July 12, 1930 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Albert Rogers and the late Mrs. Viola Shackleford Rogers. Surviving are sons, Mr. Jimmie Lee Rogers of Widener, AR, Mr. Leon Sims, Jr. of Forrest City, AR, Mr. Gary Sims of Forrest City, AR and Mr. Albert Rogers Sims of Forrest City, AR, daughters, Mrs. Brenda Brown of Forrest City, AR, Mrs. Annette Sims Slater of Little Rock, AR, Mrs. Lula McKnight of Forrest City, AR and Mrs. Ollie Golatt of Forrest City, AR, brothers, Mr. Floyd Rogers of Forrest City, AR and Mr. Harold Rogers of Forrest City, AR, sisters, Mrs. Ora Bell Scott of Colorado Springs, CO, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Phillips of Papillion, NE and Mrs. Ethel Lee Phipps of Tacoma, WA; 46 grand children, 98 great grand children, 19 great great grand children and many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May10, 2014 at Cornerstone M B Church. Interment will be in Forrest City Cemetery, Forrest City, AR. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Clay Funeral Home, 116 North Water Street, Forrest City, Arkansas.
