Born Monday, September 26, 1955 in Forrest City, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Mr.Junior Griggs and the late Mrs. Arie Hicks Griggs. She was the wife of George Washington. Surviving are husband, Mr. George Washington of Forrest City, daughter, Ms. Stephanie Griggs of Marion, AR, brothers, Mr. Odell Griggs of Kemah, TX, Mr. Ralph Griggs of Maumelle, AR, Mr. Terry Griggs of Dallas, TX, Mr. Merlin Griggs of Houston, TX and Mr. Courtland Davis of Pine Bluff, AR, sisters, Mrs. Sheila Lacy of Jonesboro, AR and Mrs. Deborah Franklin of Jonesboro, AR. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Beth Salem Baptist Church located at 835 Garland Street Forrest City, 72335. Interment will be in Forrest City Cemetery, Forrest City, AR. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Clay Funeral Home, 116 North Water Street, Forrest City, Arkansas.
