Rev. Lawrence Odell Taylor, 85 of Forrest City, Arkansas died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at VA Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Wednesday, April 3, 1929 in Marshall, Texas, he was the son of the late Mr. Issacc Taylor and the late Mrs. Terah Hunt Taylor. He was the husband of Mrs. Mae Glover Taylor. He was retired from Universal Life Insurance Co. He was a member of Beth Salem Baptist Church. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mae Glover Taylor of Forrest City, AR, daughters, Mrs. Rosalyn Shumpert-Boone of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Cheryl Brooks of Dallas, TX, Mrs. Terah Bias of Houston, TX, Ms. Shauna Taylor of Pheonix, AZ and Mrs. Tiffany Sykes-Brown of Fayetteville, AR, sister, Mrs. Janis Prat of Los Angeles, CA; 12 grand children; 7 great grand children. He was predeceased by daughter, Mrs. Anthony R Harris, sister, Miss. Mana Taylor. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Beth Salem Baptist Church located at 835 Garland Street Forrest City, 72335. Interment will be in West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, TN on Monday, March 30, 2015. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Clay Funeral Home, 2522 East Broadway, Forrest City, Arkansas.
