Obituary for Ernest Overton Mr.

Mr. Ernest Lee Overton, 65 of Forrest City, Arkansas died on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at V.A. Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Saturday, June 25, 1949 in Forrest City, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Mr. Ulesses Overton and Mrs. Sarah Butler Overton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Eula Henderson He was retired from Pilot Truck Stop. He served as a SP4 in the United States Army from 1970 until 1972. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Sarah Overton of Forrest City, AR, brothers, Mr. Ulysses Overton and Mr. Benjamin Overton, sisters, Mrs. Claudia Harris, Ms. Levada Overton, Mrs. Vera Robinson, Mrs. Sybil Minor and Mrs. Sandra Peoples. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 at New Lake Grove Baptist Church in Heth, Arkansas. Interment will follow in Paradise Gardens Cemetery, Edmondson, AR. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, August 15, 2014, at Clay Funeral Home, 2522 East Broadway, Forrest City, Arkansas.
