Mr. D.L. Rogers, 69 of Forrest City, Arkansas died on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born Monday, July 26, 1943 in Alcola, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Harry Rogers and the late Surfronia Moore. He was the husband of Myrtle Stuart Rogers.

He was employed by Beverly Construction.

Surviving are son, Mr. D.L. Rogers, Jr. of Carpentersville, IL, daughter, Ms. Danielle Lynette Rogers of Chicago, IL, brothers, Mr. Earnest Lee Rogers of Odessa, TX and Mr. O'neil Rogers of Odessa, TX, sisters, Mrs. Earnestine Bradford of Odessa, TX and Mrs. Shirley Jones of Odessa, TX; 3 grand children.

A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Beth Salem Baptist Church located at 835 Garland Street Forrest City, 72335. Interment will be in Casteel Cemetery, Forrest City, AR.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2013, at Clay Funeral Home, 116 North Water Street, Forrest City, Arkansas.
