Mr. Sylvester Norman, 96 of Forrest City, died on December 21st, 2016, at Forrest City Medical Center.
Mr. Sylvester was born August 31st, 1920 in Cody AR, to the late Mr. Hal Dogan and Mrs. Lula Taylor Whitaker. Mr. Norman was a retired farmer, and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Lee Flowers; daughters Vester Jean Norman,Mable Gilbert, and Vera Long; grandchildren Annette Rufus, Dercy Gilbert, and Anthony Gilbert.
Survivors are his children Mr. Sylvester, Norman Jr. of Forrest City, AR, Mr. Marvin Norman of Wynne, AR, Mr. Melvin Taylor and Mr. Jerry Taylor of Forrest City, AR, Mrs. Ardelia Echols and Mrs. Louise Williams of Forrest City, AR, 25 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service for Sylvester Norman will be at 11:00am on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Lane Chapel CME, Forrest City, AR, with Rev. Ronald Williams officiating. Interment will be in Forrest City Cemetery, Forrest City, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 5:00pm on Friday, December 30, 2016, at CLAY FUNERAL HOME, 2522 East Broadway, Forrest City, AR.
