Mr. John Lewis Morris, Sr., age 63, of Forrest City, Arkansas went to be with his Lord on Friday, April 5, 2019.

Mr. Morris was born on May 21, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Mr. William Lester Morris, Sr. and Mrs. Arlie Lois Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bob McKaskle and Ron Morris, as well as a niece, Chelly Silva, who lived as an honorary daughter with him.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Penny Ann Morris, his daughter Pam Beltran and her husband Ronnie, his son Johnny Morris, Jr., and his son Danny Morris and his wife Lindsey. Also surviving Mr. Morris are his granddaughter Holly White and her husband Quinton, his granddaughter Haley Hastings and her husband Austin, his grandson Zack Morris and his fiancé Brittany, his grandsons Josh Taylor and Reece Beltran, and his granddaughters Macy Morris and Melaina Morris. Mr. Morris has three great grandsons, Michael Light II, Brenden White, and Henry Blake Hastings. He also has three surviving siblings, Mrs. Paulette Johnson, Mr. Dean Morris and his wife Deanna, and Mr. Bill Morris and his wife Robin. Mr. Morris also has a special niece who lived with him as a daughter, Stacey Sides, and her husband Johnny and daughters Marissa and Shelby. Mr. Morris is survived by many dearly loved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends as well.

Mr. John Morris’s greatest joy on this earth was serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He spent his life ministering to people and served as a pastor for twenty years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who thrived on spending time with his family, and while he will be greatly missed, we rejoice that he is with Jesus.

The memorial service for Mr. John L. Morris will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Calvary Fellowship Church, 951 US-64, Wynne, AR 72396.
