Mrs. Lula Mae Walker, age 107 of Forrest City, died Saturday, August 17th, 2019, with her family present, in the privacy of her home

Mrs.Walker was born December 4th, 1911 in Canfield, AR, to the late Mr. Armour Holmes and to the late Mrs. Lula Hayes Holmes.

Mrs. Walker's childhood family church was Cross Road Baptist Church in Taylor, AR. She later moved to Forrest City and joined Lane Chapel CME on Division St.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Willie Walker, and they joined New Light MBC where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. Mrs. Walker was employed by Independent Living.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mr. Willie Walker, children, Ephriam, Barabra, Ephriam Franklin, Mary France and Willie Frank, and siblings, Precious, Carnelia, Paralee, Exie Mae, Lilliam, Armour Jr., Frank and Clark.

When Mrs. Walker"s health failed, she was so blessed that to be cared for at home by her name sake which was her grand daughter.

Survivors are three daughters, Geraldine Collin of Los Angeles, CA, Josephine Hamilton of Cleveland, OH, Louise Walker of Forrest City, twenty-seven grandchilddren, eighty seven great-grandchildren, 150 great great grand-children, fifty-nine great great great grand-children and many other relatives andd friends.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Lula Walker will be Saturday, 2:00pm August 24th, at New Light MBC ,Forrest City, AR. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery , Forrest City, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 5:00pm Friday, August 23rd, 2019, at CLAY FUNERAL HOME, 2522 East Broadway, Forrest City.
