Ms. Betty Melissa Gates, 50 of Haynes, Arkansas died on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City, Arkansas.



Born Saturday, May 12, 1962 in Haynes, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Edward Gates and the late Maxine Adams Gates.



She was employed by Reltoc Manufacturing Co. until they closed, and later went to worked for Cody's Grocery, doing what she loved, cooking.



She was a faithful member of Spring Grove Baptist Church.



Surviving are sons, Mr. Shannon Gates of Haynes, AR and Mr. Geremy Gates of Haynes, AR, daughter, Ms. Keseya Gates of Haynes, AR, brothers, Mr. Edward Gates, Jr. of Camden, AR, Mr. Herbert Gates of Peoria, IL, Mr. Christopher Gates of Haynes, AR, Mr. Ronnie Gates of Garland, TX and Mr. Tony Gates of Janesville, WI, sisters, Mrs. Susie Gates of Haynes, AR, Ms. Wilma Gates of Whitehall, AR, Mrs. Maxine Hayes of Jefferson, AR, Mrs. Connie Cochran of Forrest City, AR, Ms. Vicky Gates of Haynes, AR, Mrs. Greta Sanders of Garland, TX and Ms. Minnie Ann Gates of Dallas, TX; 10 grand children.



A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Spring Grove Baptist Church in Haynes, AR. Interment will be in Casteel Cemetery, Forrest City, AR.
